Paul Wain

About Paul Wain

Hi, my name is Paul Wain and I am the senior music supervisor for PlayNetwork EMEA and have been in the industry for over 30 years.

I accidentally fell into the role of DJ at student events, based on the criteria of having the best record collection (20,000+ !!) to be able to do the job. It was no surprise when I started managing the vinyl department at Selectadisc, which is where my encyclopedic knowledge of all genres of music was honed. This experience made the progression to music supervisor a natural step, doing something where I could utilize all of the skills aquired.

Over the last five years at PlayNetwork, I have programmed music playlists for such brands as Jimmy Choo, Harrods, Jo Malone, Ted Baker, Ray-Ban, Starbucks, Cath Kidston, Costa Coffee, and KFC (to name a few). The great thing about working with so many different types of brands is that I am able to program everything from 50s R&B to modern electronica and anything in between.

When I am not listening to hundreds of songs for my next client, I still love spending whatever time I have digging for new music and DJing. You never know what club, city or country I may be in next!
